A DIRECTOR'S THOUGHTS (EPISODE 1 - SAYING HELLO)

It's been a minute since I updated my website, so here we are, fighting off procrastination & holding myself accountable until the Knicks tip off for Game 3 of the finals. With that said, I promised myself I would write a blog once a week, to share my thoughts on random things that tickle my fancy. Some might be about film (mostly), some might be about comics, culture or something random.

I'll share a lot of what I'm working on but more importantly what is inspiring me to make said art. Inspiration is everywhere and yet, sometimes we can get in our own way. Discipline and accountability have been two very big words for me since I woke up with 42 years under my utility belt. Life sometimes can life, especially as a full-time freelancer.

Which has inspired me to create a short form series called "Free Lance" that dabbles into the sketch comedy realm, as well as my comedy itch. More on that later. Lately, I've tapped into my love for comics again, since I've developed my own comic series (adapted from a prior screenplay of mine). So a lot of coffee (no pun intended IYKYK), comics, my obsession with Japanese cinema & the yearning for a fruitful summer has taken a hold of my spirit lately.

Until I have more to share, enjoy a random flick I took roughly 4 summers ago. I remember this moment: I was stuck at a red light in East Brunswick, going through the side roads back to Old Bridge, after a overly generous meal at the Colonial Diner.

I call it "Lazy Tuesday"

The French toast was outstanding.
